Cashback is a service consisting in withdrawal of cash from a store cash register combined with purchasing transaction using payment card.

Hence, a retail and service establishment will be able to act additionally as an ATM where a customer will have an opportunity to withdraw cash.

It is the customer who decides on the use of the service while the maximum amount to be withdrawn must not exceed the amount defined by the card issuers (VISA, MasterCard).

Cash withdrawal under Cashback transaction cannot be performed separately, without sale transaction and it is necessary that the payment for the transaction is made with the payment card.

The availability of the service is to the benefit of both parties to the transaction i.e. the store and the customer who withdraws the cash.

The profit of the store is a lower cost of cash storage while offering an attractive service to the customers.

The customer’s benefit is the possibility to withdraw money without the need to go the ATM.
